A REPORT ON SPECIAL DAY CAMP HELD AT NEW RAJA RAJESWARI PET
(59th DIVISION OF VIJAYAWADA)
Under the auspious of the national service scheme of Andhra Loyola College. Vijayawada Unit-III, a special camp held at new raja rajeswari pet from 05-04-06 to 14-04-06 for ten days. Forty-five volunteers along with Programme officer Mrs.B.siva kumari participated in the special Day Camp activities and awareness programmes in New raja rajeawari pet.
The experience is new to the students but for the college it was not, because it already involved in conducting various social services, in order to make more effective, a 10 days programme was conducted at New RR pet.The inauguration of the camp was held at Care& share school in new RR pet. On 5th of April 2006. On 5th The NSS coordinator of Nagajuna University prof. Vijaya Ratnam inaugurated the programme. The village authorities and College Authorities were also present. The students are very actively participated in this Camp in spite of the summer holidays.
The major works taken up were
- cleaning drainage canals.

The girl students - taught the folk handicrafts

Guest lectures on
- leadership qualities,
- women Empowerment,
- computer awareness,
consumer awareness - social Services etc. for students and youth.
Yoga and meditation classes were conducted every day for the students. Students prepared food by themselves and maintained strict displine in the Camp.
Cultural activities

skits.
Games and sports were Conducted.
Villagers felt happy with the presence of students.
